My Philosophy:
I believe self-care shouldn’t feel like a personality test. If you’ve struggled with motivation, follow-through, or consistency, you’re not broken—your plan just hasn’t matched your real life (or your biology).
“I’m competent in so many areas of my life. Why am I so bad at taking care of myself?”
If you’ve ever spoken these words, you’re in the right place:
for those of us who struggle with grit, willpower and motivation.
If you’ve ever said “I know what to do… I just can’t seem to do it,” you’re in the right place.
A lot of wellness advice is created by people who have never truly struggled with motivation. Their message (even when it’s well-intentioned) can feel like:
“If you were motivated like me, you’d be more motivated.”
But many of us aren’t like them—especially when it comes to food choices, exercise, and sleep.
This is self-care for the rest of us.
My approach starts with who you are right now, not the person you wish you were.
Why is self-care so hard?
Because there’s a mismatch between what our bodies need and how modern life is set up.
Our bodies need movement, but we sit all day.
Our bodies need real food, but ultra-processed food is everywhere.
Our bodies need sleep, but we live under bright lights and endless screens.
So we end up relying on willpower to stay well.
But historically, most of these “healthy behaviors” weren’t choices. They were built into everyday life:
Movement was necessary to survive.
Whole food was the only option.
Sleep happened when the sun went down.
Our ancestors didn’t need “motivation” to live in alignment with their biology.
That’s why self-care feels hard now:
it isn’t just personal weakness—it’s a modern mismatch.
Here’s the good news
You don’t need more pressure or perfection.
You need a plan that fits:
your real life
your nervous system
your energy and capacity
and the patterns that have kept you stuck
If you want support that’s practical, compassionate, and grounded in physiology, I’d love to work with you.
